A tale of first love, physics, rock music, and betrayal.

It was my first summer away from home.  It would be a summer that I would never forget; in fact it was destined to be a summer that would change me forever and set me on a course to becoming a distinguished physics professor.  I didn’t know any of that at the time but it wouldn’t have mattered anyway.  Even before the spring semester ended, there was a chain of events in motion, looming over me like a thunderstorm I had no chance of avoiding, and I didn’t have a clue in the world.  But I’m getting ahead of myself.
